Shoulder rehab usually needs regular sessions over many weeks. For people in Jaipur juggling office hours, household responsibilities and traffic, or for older adults who find travel tiring, that is hard to sustain at a clinic. Home visits make consistent treatment realistic, and once your exercises are well established, follow-ups can continue on live video.
Frozen shoulder typically moves through three overlapping stages. In the painful or "freezing" stage, the shoulder aches, often worst at night, and movement gradually reduces. In the "frozen" stage, pain may ease a little but the shoulder becomes very stiff, especially for turning the arm outwards and reaching behind the back. In the "thawing" stage, movement slowly returns. The whole process can take many months and sometimes longer, but physiotherapy helps manage pain, maintain as much movement as possible and speed up the return of function in the later stages.
Your first visit starts with a detailed history and examination. We ask about how the pain began, any injury, diabetes, thyroid or heart conditions, and which daily tasks are hardest. We measure active and passive movement, check strength of the rotator cuff and shoulder blade muscles, look at posture and neck movement, and screen for signs that need a doctor first. Shoulder pain can sometimes come from the neck, or rarely from the heart, so careful screening matters.
Treatment is tailored to your diagnosis and stage. In the painful stage we use gentle pendulum and assisted movements, pain relief with TENS, IFT or therapeutic ultrasound where appropriate, heat or ice advice and sleeping positions that reduce night pain. As pain settles, we add stretching, joint mobilisation and progressive range of movement work. For rotator cuff and impingement problems, the focus is on strengthening the cuff and shoulder blade muscles, correcting posture and adjusting activities that keep irritating the tendon. Kinesiology taping may support the shoulder during daily activity. If your doctor has given an injection, we coordinate exercises with that plan.
Shoulder pain often goes together with posture-related problems, so some patients also benefit from neck pain physiotherapy. If your shoulder trouble follows an operation, our post-surgery rehabilitation service covers the full recovery plan, and athletes and gym-goers may want to read about sports injury physiotherapy.
We are honest about timelines. Rotator cuff and impingement pain often improves over six to twelve weeks of consistent exercise, while frozen shoulder can take considerably longer. What we promise is a clear plan, steady guidance and regular review of your progress.
